Taylor-Swift

Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of youthful heartache earned her widespread popularity in the first decade of the 21st century. Swift started to exhibit an interest in the music industry at a young age. The trajectory of her career was rapid from children's play roles to her first appearance on stage in the presence of thousands. When she was 11 years old, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game and the following year she began playing guitar and began to write songs. Drawing inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original songs that were a reflection of her own experiences of tween alienation. Swift's parents moved her from Pennsylvania to Tennessee when she was 13 after selling their Pennsylvania farm. The move allowed Swift to devote more time looking for labels to promote traditional music from Nashville.
